Wouldn't you be happier if you had never seen it?
Solution: pretend you didn't see it.
Not much else you can do without being childish.
Unless you get a copyright on your designs and recipes (that are originally yours, as in, you came up with them), I don't think there's much you can do. Now if she steals your exact picture, you may have grounds but her version of your work is still her version. I know it's hard but look at the bright side, you're better than her since you're the one coming up with the cool stuff that she feels the need to copy.
I draw inspiration from here all te time. I always try to give credit especially if it is very close likeness. I for one would be thrilled to be copied. Means I did a good enough job tat someone wants to repeat

Jeez, stand behind what you post, especially after you apparently joined JUST TO POST IT ,
and after people had the courtesy to answer you thoughtfully & politely.

Maybe she was afraid of someone copying her post?
Good one! I guess she could have copyrighted it!

Well, I just copyrighted the ellipse, so nobody can use this ... anymore.

Me too
I doubt she's a troll, she might have just started a new account to complain anonymously.
I have to say that I didn't read the original post, but if it was about someone copying her cake that might tick me off too. Depends on how "original" the idea was, since there aren't that many original ideas anymore. It would also depend on how close the copycat was. I had a woman open a shop literally three miles from me, then she stole text from my website and started copying designs from my site. I handled that differently than I would have if someone had just done a similar cake to mine but lived across the country.
I also have a friend who's currently dealing with a competitor who stalks her facebook page, tries to friend people from her page, copies everything she does as far as sales postings, and also undercuts her pricing and badmouths her to clients. She was at the point where she was thinking of legal action, it's so bad. So how you handle copycats depends on many things, but it isn't always a situation where you just say that it's flattering.
What was the original post anyway????? Just the nosey in me wondering.
It was about everything Costumeczar mentioned... copying designs, website text, facebook stalking, price inquiries, undercutting prices, adding new "copied" flavors, etc.
I didn't think about the flavors or the fake price inquiries. People can be really obnoxious. I think that Facebook has made cake stalking much easier for people who are psychos.
Excuse the ignorance, what's the exact definition of a troll?
For me, a troll is someone who's probably been lurking anonymously for awhile, signs up, and makes a first post that gets people riled up because it's a hot button subject or accusatory.
They either like watching the fireworks or they don't care--they just like to stir up trouble.
It can also be a member who sets up an alternate identity and then drops a bomb.

Oh. An odd thing to do but to each his own I guess This odd cyber behaviour has become all too common.
I owe myself royalties now
You know they collect income tax on that. Ask Jason.
So I guess I'll heed my own advice and pretend I never saw this post. Heh.
