Hi gals,

I promised I would show you the inspiration cake from the Sept 10th wedding I did.

Here is my version in pink/sage green and below it is the original red/dark green (from a British cake magazine??)

Very pretty! I am curious as to how your cake has rounded sides. It has almost an hour glass shape. Is it carved that way?

The flowers are gumpaste, made with two sizes of those handy little punch-out tools.

For my fondant cakes, I always trim off the harsh corners on a tiny angle...to avoid any tearing in the fondant and because I think it makes a pretty cool rounded shape to the tiers too!
