I am so glad that I found cakecentral. I can't seem to stop. I love to decorate cakes. I have been doing it for years for family and friends. I am a stay at home Mom. I just loved the oohs and ahhs I got for creating something special. Starting my own business is a dream of mine. Cakecentral has encouraged me to go forward. I have joined many sites in the past for many things (the programming sites are not a safe place normally ) I have followed many hobbies including programming (got a D in C++ and I am dam proud of it ) I know it takes a lot of work to keep on working on one site for so long exp. if it is for free. I have to say that I have never see a site that made a person feel so at home, as if they are among friend they can trust as this site. You have done a very good job with this site, and with cake decorating being my newest hobby I think that I just might stick with it because of the support this site has provided. Thanks

I have not attended any cake classes and used to rarely bake, and if at all I do, I do not ice them because I always felt that I would not be good at it. But...

...this wonderful thing that you have started has given me all the inspirations and motivation, that I have a beautiful hobby now and get rave reviews from my family and friends from it. That's not all, I delivered my 1st cake order yesterday to a close friend of mine and today I have 2 more orders to be delivered on Monday.

Holy Cow!!!! I found this sight only a few months ago and have been addicted ever since I saw something about it on wilton. I was looking for ideas for graduation cakes. And here I am and have been here about everyday sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. The love is truelly felt on this sight. My hubby has his Nascar chat buddies. But I have this great sight. I can learn, I can get great ideas, and i can vent when a good cake has no pictures to prove it. And I always wondered how this site got started. It is great to know there are others out there like me who want to share and learn. And that someone (Jackie) was a genius to bring it to life. We love you and yet we don't do our much needed dishes and house cleaning. Thanks everyone else for the AWESOME ideas. Keep up the great job. Kay

I've "dabbled" at cake decorating since I was about 13 or so but never too seriously UNTIL now! Everyone here is so helpful and the tutorials are amazing. My kids birthday cakes will never the the same again! LOL

i found this cake site as a link from another site that was not too informative and i have been completely spoiled for this site ever since...i have picked up numerous ideas and advice from everyone and even though i am new to cake decorating, hopefully one day i will be able tp pass on information..the site is amazing

Starting this thing was a great idea. I love it and I get inspired by the pictures I see and by reading about what others have done.

I grew up in Ireland in a family of 4 kids, a very busy Mum & Dad, cousins practically living with us ... each of us kids with all our friends coming & going all the time .... if anyone ever had a birthday, it was left to me to throw something together by way of a birthday cake (never that great mind- but a birthday cake nonetheless!).
If anyone ever wanted a cake, mum or whoever would nod my direction & say "ask cake central over there"!
Now at the (still young?) age of 35, my cakes loom ever larger in my life ... and I wondered if I could possibly charge for my cakes & turn it into a mini business of sorts. One day I decided to check out google to see if any one had Cake Central as a domain name ... and look what I found!!! Best google search I ever made!
Hooked isn't the word! My husband loves & hates CC at the same time!!!! Hate CC because I spend SOOOOOO much time on here checking everything out, but loves CC for the delight on my face when I get a lovely comment on my latest cake!!!
I LOVE CC!!!!

I really enjoy this site and I don't decorate cakes alot but my mom does. I would like to start and she is going to help me. But we get alot of ideas from this site. It is really a great site.

I found this site about 4 weeks ago, I saw the warning and thought it was a joke.
I am hooked! I love this site, all the great ideas and people actually respond to your questions comments and pictures.
I'm on this site every chance I get, even when I'm on my day job.

I know it's been said in a hundred ways, but thank you so much Jackie for creating this site and thanks to those who help maintain it.
I have only been decorating since June but I have learned as much as if I had been taking classes for a year.

It has been a wonderful place of learning and sharing..I stumbled upon it a few months ago and I have to say it was my year's "best find".

I can't even remember how I came to this site but want you to know it is the best ever! I am a self taught decorator also & although I haven't posted alot I visit here daily! I get many ideas from all the great people here who are willing to share theirs! Wow I can't believe you can count your cakes on 1 hand! You are an amazing programmer because this site is awsomely laid out. From the tabs & the links, everything is in order & you can find anything you are looking for! I would nominate this site the best cake info site ever (not just 2006) but ever!! Keep up the great job & thanks again for creating such a nice & informative website!

I am new to Cake Central but I also have fell in love with the information and the creative ideas here. I am currently in Class 2 of the Wilton Cake Decorating Classes locally and am really enjoying it. Cake decorating is going to become a full time hobby for me very quickly.
I just have one question. What is a "bump"? I see this placed in some messages but am unfamiliar with what it means. Can you please explain this to me?

I have to agree with everybody here. This site is terriffic! Thank you, Jackie! I've taken the three Wilton classes, and hopefully I will be making more cakes soon, but I love surfing this site! Such great ideas!
