Hi! I'm making my first every topsy turvey cake this week. Shudders! I'm going to be covering it in fondant. Did I see somewhere that if you steam the fondant it'll make it shiny? I'm afraid if I steam it then it'll get soft and fall off my cakes...and that wouldn't be good! Has anyone had any experience with this?

I use a clothes steamer all the time (I got it at target). When you steam you want to hold the steam head back about 12" in case it sputters. Just Don't over do.
