Holy smokes! If I had gotten that for a "freebie" wedding cake I would have been over the moon happy with it! The MOB is nuts. I agree with everyone else. She was just trying to get the money back.
WOW!
Glad that is over and done with for you !
I can't find the cake that you made though, I'm super curious on what it looked like!

Thanks for all the support. I'm glad it's over and done with. She actually cashed the check! What nerve! This hasnt detered me from making cakes. I've decided to support Bake-A-Wish foundation and make cakes for people who I know will appreciate them. @ Jodi: The wedding cake in question is in my gallery. Its the one with the most comments. Thanks,
Fedra
Wow, I would not have given that woman a dime back.
Welcome to the world of cake decorating in the current economy, unfortunately some people are just evil
Baking in 100+ degree heat in Austin,TX and then giving the cake away for free....wow....horrible of that family.
Austin is not really *that* big of a town! I hope you don't run into this horrible family at HEB! LOL
Glad your drama is overwith.

We're the 14th most populous city in the USA with 790,000 people. There's very little chance of running into someone at the store unless you live in the same neighborhood
