I'm sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find it on search. How long can MMF be keep at room temp. I have to make lots of it for a large cake and want to get a head start! Thanks
Not sure how long it will keep, but I've kept some for 3-4 weeks with no problems. Just use a little crisco to rework it if it dries a little. The key is to wrap it very tightly with plastic wrap.
You can keep it as long as it tastes good & isn't growing mold, LOL!! I keep mine forever! When I have left over MMF from cakes that I cover I use it to make flowers for later use. As long as it tastes good I believe it is ok~ I always make a new batch with each cake though. I wouldn't cover a cake with old MMF. Not good
i still have some from June... still good ...still tastes good...but I'm only using it for practice stuff...like the pink roses in my photos...oh...and I made a pig too...should post that one...as soon as I take it's picture that is...

Thank you for making my schedule easier. I was thinking I was going to have to spend a day making tons of mmf and killing my hands. But, Its only a week ahead so I know that should be fine. Thanks again!!
Also, when you make it ahead of time it tends to get a bit hard, but just put it in the microwave for a few seconds and it will soften right up so you can roll it and work with it.
Only do a couple seconds at a time or it will completely melt down on you.
