ohhhh Im feeling overwhelmed.. icon_cry.gif

I need ANY guidance on how to construct a monster truck cake.. no specific design, just a standard, 4 wheel with a big cake for the truck.. how do I make the wheels.. i saw one formed out of donuts?? to get the effect of the marks in the tires.

My biggest question is structurally, how does the body of the truck sit on the wheels???

Thanks in advance!! I know IM over thinking this.. just confused thumbs_up.gif

Use Crueller donuts for the wheels. It has the grooved marks for tire treads.I melted black candly melts and coated the wheels..Came out great!!If you create a platform for the cake to sit higher up the wheels will just push up against the side of the platform making it look like a monster truck.

I put the cupcake board on top of an angled piece of floral foam. It was held on with dowels. The tires were RKT covered in fondant and helhpd on with skewers pushed through the base. I wanted the front wheels off the ground, and while I wish I had placed them better, the were at least off the base.
