I made the buttercream flavored mmf from the recipes on this site and its sweet when u first try it.. then it has a very salty taste at the end. Is that how bc is supposed to taste.. or do u have any idea how to fix it..? tyia!!! 
I dont really have the time to make a whole new batch. 
do you have a link to the recipe, or can you list the ingredients?
With only 1/2 of a teaspoon of salt, that shouldn't make it taste salty. Did you use unsalted butter? The butter flavored extract might give you the association with salt. But again, that small amount shouldn't be a problem. Maybe it is just more salty than you expected and you're getting stuck on that. I'd have someone else taste it to see what they think. At any rate, there's not much you can do to take away the taste of salt at this point that I can think of.
