Hi All,
As the title Im new to cake making just making cakes for my kids and for families birthdays. i am really enjoying it and always handy to have a place to come for hints, tips and new ideas. Im from the UK and have 4 children (9yrs, 6yrs, 4yrs and 1yr) so plenty of cakes needed at home and that's why i started making them. I have only made 4 cakes so far that have been more than standard sponge with a bit of butter cream in the middle but have been surprised at how well they have come out.
Well enough ramble will go and see if i can find how to put my pictures up and then be back for ideas and inspiration x

Welcome! Cake decorating is so much fun and you will find lots of tips and helpful hints here at cake central. Everyone is so helpful when a problem arises. I've learned a lot from these great decorators.
