I need a recipe that I can use to make a magicians hat. I never made an eggless cake but from what I read they do not hold there shape and are very crumbly. Just wondering if anyone has a fabulous recipe out there they could shareicon_wink.gif
Thanks
Maria

How big does you hat need to be ? servings ?

Eggless cakes are more fragile than other cakes because they lack the structure that eggs provide ..

Wacky Cake [aka Crazy Cake .. the same recipe as quoted above] is better suited to small cakes [8-inches and less ...] But, it does wonderful cupcakes ..

An example of using it to make a cake ...
1. on a 12-inch board: stack [and dowell!] 8-7-6-5-4-3-2-inch layers .. that way there is minimal carving & everything is supported .. it's a fragile cake ..Trim the edges to make a cone shape
2. buttercream the "cone" shape and lay a circle of fondant around the base, for the brim.
3. should serve 30 .. if you want more, set it up on a 12-inch square ..
