Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to find out how to make a fondant beach bucket for a Hawaiin cake that I'm doing this weekend. I tried a few times and it never comes out like I would want it to...can someone please give me instructions on how to make one?

Thank you

Hi Kosha and welcome to CC. First of all I would suggest a solid structure like cake or rice krispy treats. you would need to stack them and then carve at the bottom to make a tapered shape(bottom of bucket) then you can cover with whatever you want. Don't know how big you want your bucket to be but that is a start. HTH

It depends on the size you need. You could cover a cupcake with fondant, leaving the fondant taller the the cupcake and then roll the lip for the top of the bucket. For a small one you could form it in a shot glass. For an itty bitty one, form it in a thimble. For an entire cake shaped like a bucket, I agree with the previous poster.
