Karolyn....another question, what size do you make your font? I am having trouble figuring out which one would look best. I don't wan the name to be over powering, but I don't want this little name that looks like an after thought. I'm sure its something I'll need to play with. But I am putting this on a 10" Round that is 4" high 
On a 4" cake, (on the side) I usually do 100 or 150 for the size.
When you print preview in Word, you can see on the left and the top the ruler, it shows you how tall the font is.
I have printed it out before and it was too big so I adjusted it.

If you use acetate instead of wax paper & print backwards you can just do it like an fbct - it will come off that way!
I LOVE the idea of using the caulking to make different designs to do impressions!!!!! I am SO going to use that - thanks!!!

Thank you - Thank you Like so many my handwriting is not so good. I would use foudant to write on. thanks to you I can do this and I think on some of my cake it well work much better. can't you use the clear folders, sometime they are protecter sheets I know that's not spell right, but anyone know what I am tring to say! you would use these sheet in a three ring binder. I think they work to, I get them in office supplies area .

Diane, When pulling fonts off the web you need to watch where they get saved and then find your Fonts folder in your computer and move the new font file to your computer's Font folder.
Make sure you are closed out of any programs that you want to use the font in before you move the font and reopen when the font has been moved to the computer's font folder. Sometimes a restart of your computer is required also

This technique it's old and it's used on fondant a lot.
