If you buy a KA, get it at William-Sonoma. They have a lifetime warranty on KA and will replace it. I'm on my 4th KA from WS, and only paid for the first one.

I'm so disappointed I've had my Kitchen Aide mixers for years and wanted to get the 6qt. but not after reading all the complaints. Guess I'll have to squirrel away some $$$ for a Used Hobart. Always wanted one just couldn't justify the expense.
