Hi all!! I just have to show off a pic of my sweet baby boy that was born on Saturday August 29. He was 7 lbs 14 oz. and is healthy other than a small heart murmur which we are hoping will close up on it's own. His name is Aiden. This is my first child and we are so happy with the little bugger! No cakes for awhile for me, he gets all my attention.

Oh, he is so adorable! Congratulations! Look at that dear little chin, I just want to cuddle him!!!

My oldest had a heart murmur and it closed up on its own by the time she was 2 weeks old. The docs said that it's really common and it almost always closes up on its own.

Thanks everyone! It's funny, I've never been too much of a baby person, especially when they are this little because it feels like your going to break them...but I cannot get enough of the little stinker! (well, maybe I've had enough at 4 am after he's kept me up all night....hmm...no not even then!) lol Thanks again!

congratulations!!!

my youngest son was born in august...the 26th and he too, had a heart murmur. he had it up until he was about 14.

it scared me at the time because i did not quite know what a hear murmur was. he's 16, growing, and doing fine! icon_wink.gif

He's absolutely gorgeous! Congrats!!!

Too of my babies had murmurs. My second one was born with 3 of them. He is now 5 and still has one left but the Dr's all say it is an "innocent" murmur so it's nothing to really be anxious about. My other guy's closed up really quick.

Enjoy him while you can, they seem to grow so fast.

Aww thanks all! Yea at first I was pretty concerned about the murmur cause they call it a VSD which sounds scarey, but after doing some research and talking to the pediatrician, I feel better. We will see what we are looking at in 6 weeks at his check up with the cardiologist. At least he is eating well and all systems definately work! He is just much happier being home, and so am I! As little sleep as I get here, it is twice as much as I got in the hospital. Well thanks again ladies and gents. Now off to be the milk cow! lol
