County Fairs...just Out Of Curiosity...

My county fair (the great East Texas Yamboree ) does not have a cake contest. If I wanted to petition for a contest, what kind of rules should I 'suggest'? Or better yet, what are the usual rules in a county cake contest?
Since this would be for the Yamboree, obviously the cakes would have to be made utilizing yams somehow, but what other rules are there? I'm clueless, as I have never entered a cake contest before in my life!
TIA,
Misty
You may want to just google cake contest rules and read through a few that pop up. That might give you some ideas.
Sorry I couldn't be more help, but it gives you a little bump anyway.
Good luck!
The rules for county fairs are much less strict than for other cake contests
Basically judging at fairs is by sight.....1st impressions.
I just found the 'rule book' from my county fair......I'll pm you the info.

Here is the site for my county fair.
If you can't find what you need let me know. I think I have this years .pdf still.
