Don't you agree that being a grandmother (or Nana in my case) is just the best thing ever?!! Of course my kids waited until they were in their mid-30s to get married and start families so I thought I was never going to have this honor. Now I am happy the way it turned out because I can be retired and spend more time with them while they are young.

I'm Nana too! The boys are my biggest cake fans! The little one always says "Nana ---Cake"! LOL.

1. Hi, I live in Sylmar, CA which is in the northeast portion of the San Fernando Valley. I was born and raised in Glendale, CA and moved 20 years ago to our current home.

2. I work full time as a medical biller and have been in this field for 24 years. Looking forward to leaving medical behind me, in five years or so when hubby agrees to retire and move from here. I am a primary school teacher and have been for 14 years but am currently SAHM. I am also a qualified clinical aromatherapist, reflexologist and masseuse. (Hobby prior to my cake life!)

I live in Northeast Ga, right at the foothills of the Appalachins.
Been here all my life. Real country girl.

My professional nursing job pays the bills. I work on the surgical unit of a large hospital near Atlanta.

I have been happily married now for 26 years (sometimes happier than others, but we won't go into that), that has resulted in 2 daughters.

My oldest is 23, currently attending UGA in hopes of becoming a Pharmacist.

My youngest just turned 21, attends college at present without a major (she's still trying to find herself).

If not decorating cakes, I am usually found reading a book, I love thrillers, my favorite authors are Patricia Cornwell, John Sandford, & James Lee Burke.

If not there, you can usually find me out working in my rose garden. I am the VP of the local Rose Society, and am recognized by The American Rose Society as a Consulting Rosarian. I have approx 85 bushes at present with more in planning stages. And, yes, I do actually exhibit my roses at competition shows and have actually won a couple of prizes.

Wow, it sounds like I stay really busy, but not to busy to check out CC at least once a day.

Hi everyone. This is my first ever post!

I live in a small town south of Indianapolis, IN. I am a lifer here as is my husband of 23yrs. Wow, can I be that old! We have two children. Our son is 20 and will be starting his third year of college soon. Our daughter is 17 and is looking forward to her senior year of high school.

I have been a hair designer for 24yrs. and a salon owner for 10yrs. The cake obsession took me by surprise. My daughter and I signed up for a Wilton class in May of 08. For me, it was love at first lesson. I have learned so much from this site and can't wait for more!

I live in Southern Arizona pretty close to the Mexico border. I also have a house in Barbados and hopefully within the next couple of years moving there.

My real job is a SAHM to 2 beautiful kids: Andrew is almost 5 and Bella is 3 1/2. I also own a couple of wineries and that's what pays the bills.

I've been married for 13 years to my best friend. We work together 24/7 365 and we haven't killed each other yet lol.

I have been a stay at home mom for 5 years but started back part time 4 months ago. I do merchandising in several retail stores. I used to be a Human Resources Manager and had the "big career" prior to getting married to my hubby and having babies.

I have 2 girls Emma who will be 6 in October and Erin who is 4.5. They are good kids but as my signature states they can seem to be pecking at me alot. Hubby is Ken and he is 7 years younger than I am. SO I guess I have 3 kids. 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 crabs and 3 fish.

1. I live in Central Vermont. Amazing to see a few other Vermonters on this post -- I had no idea! Beautiful here, though as a lifetime city dweller, the Vermont lifestyle is still taking some getting used to.

2. As for my work, I am a pastry chef and have been for my entire career. Mostly worked in five-star hotels until I moved here to Vermont. Now, my husband and I own a tiny little bakery, which is my dream come true.

3. Married for two years with no kids, but 2 dogs and a step-dog. My dogs are my babies!

I don't often have time to post, but I love CC and have learned so much from everyone. Thank you all!

I am married with children...four boys to be exact. They are all very active in school and sports so that keeps me very busy. I also have a BIL who stays with us when he is on breaks from college. He goes to IU and will be going to med school next year. So my house is overflowing in testosterone.

Married for 7 years have a 2 year old son and a 23 year old daughter.

When my niece sees me put something on my dining room table (were I dry most of my gumpast pieces) or get out my KA she very sweetly says...... "cake?"....she also loves to play with my large bowls and spoons ..."cake?" gotta love her even more!!!!!!

Okay, here goes:

I was born and raised in the Bay Area, CA. I now currently live in Richmond, VA, but when I pass, my body is going back home to be laid to rest!

I started working at 13 and eventually ended up in law enforcement, came to VA, worked at a computer company, did direct care (law enforcement has no union here, which was beyond me so that wasn't an option) and now for the last 3 years a stay at home mom. I guess it's nice to have a break after all these years. And of course I do cakes, have been on and off for 17 years.

Currently married for the past 3 years. Was married before that for about 15 years. I have 7 kids from 9 months to 18 years.

1. Born in Northwest Indiana, moved to Tennessee(right outside of Nashville), then did a year stint in Chicago and now live in Atlanta, GA. I'm 26 and a newlywed Just bought our first house 3 months ago.

2. I am a Implementation Manager for a software company that serves non-profits and associations.

3. I started out making cupcakes and then started taking classes. I completely love it and it makes the days at work go by a lot easier.

Live in North Jersey, all my life... might be leaving the state soon (never thought I would say that, ever--I'm a Jersey Girl, through and through--but it's looking highly likely)

I'm a pastry chef by trade, but I actually work three jobs (two are pastry/cake related and one isn't).

Who is your family?

I'm a single mother to a nearly 9 year old girl (Marin). I had her alone when I was 26. Her biological father (or sperm donor, as I prefer to call him lol) lives in London, and she's never met him. I was married at 29, and got divorced a couple years later (big mistake).

I'm now with the love of my life, Alex. He's my best friend and we've got big plans together
