I am going to be trying a banana cake this week for the first time and am wondering about a good icing. Chocolate is a easy one, but what do you guys think about peanut butter filling and chocolate iced with the sides covered in nuts? I was thinking like the frozen bananas you get covered with goddies.

That sounds really good. We always just use cream cheese icing on our banana cakes
the peanut butter and banana sounds like an elvis thing. and if it's good enough for the king, it should be really tasty!
I would think something like a Butter Nut (not peanut butter), Butter Rum or Rum or cream cheese would be good.
I was thinking, would ganache be better than buttercream?
I think the ganache would overpower the subtle flavor of the banana cake, IMHO the PBBC goes better, or maybe banana BC, this can double the flavor factor. I use oils to flavor banana BC!
