A very good friend of mine is turning 40 this year, & loves candy, so I was thinking of making her cake & some how incorporating candy or chocolate bars or chocolate that came out that year...
However after looking online I haven't been successful or no candy came out that year...
If any of you know or remember what came out that year, pls let me know, or maybe a website that I can go too to get that info thumbs_up.gif

Thanks for your help!!!

......thinking of making her cake & some how incorporating candy or chocolate bars.....

Since you can't find anything made that year why not make a snicker's cake?
OR cover the cake w/b'cream then stick mini candies all over it.

I'm thinkin' there was too much turmoil goin' on for anyone to be thinkin' of makin' anything new. They're were probably holding tight simply praying to make it through the madness.

This link will take you to a site that has a food timeline. Click on "1960s" and scroll down the page. There's a list of new food items that came out that year.

The only thing I found on candy in 1969 was that red, yellow and green M&M's came out then.

They did show a snickers bar from one of the links I saw. You can incorporate that onto the cake. The packaging was very different from todays.

well since no food items seem to be invented that year, I found out the reeses pb cup was launched in canada in 1969, so I guess I will go with that ;o)
You can never go wrong with chocolate & peanut butter icon_lol.gif
