I'm Sorry, But What Is Wasc Cake?
Decorating By Jan14grands Updated 11 May 2009 , 7:16pm by kakeladi
I've seen this referred to before, and I just can't find what kind of cake this is or where the recipe is. Can anyone let me know? THANKS
WASC = White Almond Sour Cream . You can find it in the recipe section here =)
And welcome to CC!
From one newbie to another - this forum link REALLY helped me out.

Have Fun!
THANKS everyone!! I should have been able to figure that one out - sorry, and thanks for the WELCOME!!
There are two different versions. This one is the one most often referred to:

Kakeladi has her version which is listed as "The Original White Almond Sour Cream Cake." I use it, myself, most often as I do not have to break down egg whites. It bakes up just the same and is just as delicious:

It's a White Anglo Saxon Cake.
No. Not really. Sorry!! I couldn't resist! I'm very silly today!!

Lol, that's what always pops in my head when I see WASC written.
This might be a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway.
Does WASC only come as a box mix cake or does anyone have a scratch recipe? Thanks.

It's a doctored cake mix recipe. However, if you have a good white cake recipe that includes sour cream as an ingredient, just add almond flavoring and you'd probably come up with the same taste. This cake bakes up nice and moist and quite dense as well which makes it so appealing.
.........It's a White Anglo Saxon Cake...........
This is sooooooo interesting because as the *original* poster of this recipe I also am 100% Saxon! (Saxon's are a tribe of German people that date back to the 17th century.)
