I am making a Backyardigan cake and my idea was to make a square tiered cake and have the bottom layer look like a fence. Should I pipe it or use fondant?

i would use fondant. icon_smile.gif it would look a lot neater...especially if it's going around the whole cake. thumbs_up.gif

As much as I love bc, I'd use fondant for that too.

Fondant is the way to go. I just made one actually from my last cake.
