Elmo Red?

Does anyone know what colors would be best to make the right color of red for elmo,,,,,he is kinda red orangy...should i put some orange in there?

Any help or ideas would be great!!!

Tulip Red (Americolor) is great.... or just regular red, lots of it! Actually his nose is orange so the straight red will make a nice Elmo color. Let the buttercream sit for a bit to get a nice deep color.

I suggest you start by tinting your your icing orange then add whatever red color you have. That makes it much easier to get a red color and it will blend w/the orange of his nose bettericon_smile.gif
Mix it up at least the night before you need it. The color will deepen in that time.

I used the Tulip Red, and started out with a base of pink buttercream. It does need to sit a while for the color to darken, but in the end you will get the red you desire. See my Elmo cake below, I have had to do Elmo 2 times now, I really like using the Tulip Red.
