Hi all,
I was just wondering what you all charge for simple undecorated cakes like carrot cakes, or red velvet that is just 2 8" or 9" rounds with icing? Do you still charge per serving, or do you do a set rate for this kind of cake? Thanks.

A lot depends on your area.....what is the going rate in your local bakeries? Check out the prices at the local grocery store bakery.
Do not under charge.

I don't think I have evr seen a naked cake... they do have icing or frosting and are infact still decorated. They are just dessert cakes. My Aunt goes to a very yummy place and pays a fortune for their desssert cakes. I'm talking about $90 for a 12" and yes it is decorated but usually with choc ganache and shavings and curls and stuff.
