Ha ha ha, yes her really name is Morffyd, cant get anymore Welsh than that can you? Everyone calls her Morvis, had to be careful it didn't come out as Horvis!
just for a minute then....i thought you were suddenly going to realise you spelt Mavis wrong
Yes same thing its just i prefer gum trag and thats what the patchwork cutters say to use but its all the same :)
Hi Smysha
I buy my fondant from cake-stuff.com and you can get a sample pack from them that contains 7 different sugarpastes and marzipans for you to try.
The pack cost just £1 not sure about postage though as I usually buy in bulk and orders over £75 are free postage.
ALove the cakes Nanny you got the bag and make up spot on.
Jean wow what a cake you have done a fantastic job with it. Hope you feel proud. Good luck for all your food making today. That sounds cool what your daughters doing today i bet it's so interesting.
Hello Argylealice!
Kathy, it's not cheap to suggest a takeaway at all! It's just that with so many of us a ready made meal would have cost a lot more and I know how to cook all that stuff as I've made them loads of times before (except for spring rolls!).
Thanks Chezza and Loubee, I'm happy with it- it's practice cake so I hope to do better next time. Maybe next time it can be a proper raised car? Aim high I say (so long as it's not TOO hard LOL).
Nanny, the expense is definitely tragic
AHi all,
Disappeared if the face of the earth again. Been so poorly this week. Driving my husbands car up to CI has messed my leg up so I am hobbling around. Fingers crossed the MRI actually shows what the issue is this time :(. I've also been hit with my smallest smalls fluey bug and my hubby is away. Pity party for one over here pmsl

Nanny fab cakes love the bag and love the flowers on the second cake to. Are they one of your new cutters?
Petitecat wow the ferrari turned out fab you must be really pleased with it and your hubby will love it. Happy birthday to Mr C hope you all have a great night.
Tiddy when you make the mexican paste do you do it in a mixer or just knead it together in a bowl?
Hi Argylealice welcome to the thread
Hey Kuuushi long time no see! Where've you been?
Hubby loves his cake! So that's good. Let's hope everyone likes how it tastes. Just wish he liked buttercream, but sadly had to put ganache in the cake. I love buttercream lol
Hi Kuuushi where you been, did you manage to get your car sorted?
Petitecat of course he loved it it's fab, Mr Roxy is the same I have to put ganache in his cakes, he doesn't like buttercream though I'm not a big fan of it myself.
Hi Jean, don't ask!
I've been so busy! I've taken time off work until the New Year to see how the cake business has gone!
Yup, I've finally gone legal! Just waiting for the hygiene officer to come now to rate me. Also joining my mother in law in her beauty salon one or two days a week to set up my nails and HD brows there.
So really busy trying to make sure that there is definitely a wage coming in for myself.
Hope everyone is okay and have calmed down from all the CI excitement?
That's great news Kuuushi hope it all goes well for you which I'm sure it will.
Hi Roxy!
Car has gone to KA heaven... :(
Looking at going to see a Fiesta in the Ford showroom next week, might do one on lease! :)
Far from calmed down Kuuushi, far from it! Everyone's playing with their toys every chance they get!
Haha Jean!
I got a DinkyDoodle and Kroma colours that I still need to play with but I've been so busy!
Awww that's a shame Kuuushi but at least you have one to go and look at, your gonna need it setting up your new business for all your cake deliveries
AKelsey girl! How's you then? Legal eh? Good on you.
Yes maisie, it's like a fantasy flower cutter, she just texted me to say they loved ther cakes.
Hi siany, hope your ok?
Nanny! :)
Yup, finally took the plunge. Woke up after a ready worrying dream and thought you know what I need to stop this. I'm 25 and if I don't do it now I never will! So I spoke to work and I'll end up going back after New Year!
I really do need the car, it's getting mental bussing it to Tesco and my boots are starting to wear too quickly! lol
Did Tidds speak to you about that coffee in Swansea? :) x
AOkay roxy just for you :-) I usually don't put up pics till its been delivered... Here's a sneaky peek... I'll get the proper pics off my camera later :-)
Its got lights in!! My first time :-)

AAwwwww, Gray, that's a work of art, really is amazing, how on earth is she gonna cut this? Break her heart I bet?
Yep kelsey, coffee? Do we have too? Would prefer summat stronger!
Sorry Gray I thought it was delivered last night so thank you for the sneak peek. Nanny's right Gray it is a work of art, it really is beautiful, I want one.
I have bought lights to put in my mum's birthday cake, I've never used them before either. Yours looks fab with the lights inside. Is the castle cake as well as the bottom? That's my favourite of all your cakes and it really looks like the disney castle your niece will be thrilled with it.
Beautiful cake Grey! Absolutely gorgeous!
Nanny lmao, I don't drink! I mean, you could pour something stronger in your coffee if you liked! Hahah

Mrs Gray is very pleased with her design :-) I procrastinated so much as I wasn't confident it would come out like I saw in my head but I'm really happy I got on and tried!
Mrs Gray did a fantastic job on design and you did an amazing job bringing it to life you make a good team.
