Hi Smysha

I buy my fondant from cake-stuff.com and you can get a sample pack from them that contains 7 different sugarpastes and marzipans for you to try.

The pack cost just £1 not sure about postage though as I usually buy in bulk and orders over £75 are free postage.

Hello Argylealice!

Kathy, it's not cheap to suggest a takeaway at all! It's just that with so many of us a ready made meal would have cost a lot more and I know how to cook all that stuff as I've made them loads of times before (except for spring rolls!).

Thanks Chezza and Loubee, I'm happy with it- it's practice cake so I hope to do better next time. Maybe next time it can be a proper raised car? Aim high I say (so long as it's not TOO hard LOL).

Nanny, the expense is definitely tragic :D

Hey Kuuushi long time no see! Where've you been?

Hubby loves his cake! So that's good. Let's hope everyone likes how it tastes. Just wish he liked buttercream, but sadly had to put ganache in the cake. I love buttercream lol

Petitecat of course he loved it it's fab, Mr Roxy is the same I have to put ganache in his cakes,  he doesn't like buttercream though I'm not a big fan of it myself.

Hi Jean, don't ask!

I've been so busy! I've taken time off work until the New Year to see how the cake business has gone!

Yup, I've finally gone legal! Just waiting for the hygiene officer to come now to rate me. Also joining my mother in law in her beauty salon one or two days a week to set up my nails and HD brows there.

So really busy trying to make sure that there is definitely a wage coming in for myself.

Hope everyone is okay and have calmed down from all the CI excitement?

Sorry Gray I thought it was delivered last night so thank you for the sneak peek. Nanny's right Gray it is a work of art, it really is beautiful, I want one.

I have bought lights to put in my mum's birthday cake, I've never used them before either. Yours looks fab with the lights inside. Is the castle cake as well as the bottom? That's my favourite of all your cakes and it really looks like the disney castle your niece will be thrilled with it.

Mrs Gray is very pleased with her design :-) I procrastinated so much as I wasn't confident it would come out like I saw in my head but I'm really happy I got on and tried!
