Oh awesome marvel! Good luck! What do you win from that?

You get to be in Cake Central Magazine (apparently there's a magazine - who knew?!!), but I'm clearly not going to win - there are some astounding cakes entered, but no harm in joining in... =)

AKuuushi, it's easy to make the sugar syrup. It's 1:1 ratio water and sugar. 2 tablespoons of water to 2 tablespoons sugar and if you want make lemon syrup then add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Easy as that and you don't have to boil it even,

Maisie, your god is fabulous!!! :)

Marvel, the ocean cake turned out great! Those cutters are available here now. Those days it wasn't . So I had to order them from Australia!!

AKuuushi they're lovely cutters, I got the petunia and hydrangea on Nanny's recommendation, I live the hydrangea, use it all the time. They're £7.29 on eBay btw.

M4rvel your website is much better! It was good before mind, I just think it's better leaving the "I make cakes for the price of ingredients" bit out.

Thanks bashini, I love my God too. :-D ( only joking, I knew what you meant).

Lush apples Siany. I prefer the red as well. What size are they?

AKuuushi, it's edible glaze.

I'm loving the airbrush. I got to the point of covering the boards and thought oh bugger got to colour it black, it's going to take ages. Then I remembered that I got my kroma colours today which had black in it and I sprayed them in about a minute :)

AThe ginger ninja wouldn't be ginger by any chance nanny? Made me laugh, reminded me of the army's nicknames, so unimaginative. If your ginger, you"re ginge, welsh, you're Taff, from Newcastle, you're Geordie, Liverpool, you're scouse, Scotland, you're jock. If you're tall, you're stretch, fat, you're slim, if your names white, you're chalky, bell, you're dinger..... You get the picture. There are lots more, most of which are probably not allowed on here! Oh and if you're female, you're Doris!

AAw I bet they're even more cute in real life Siany. I'm so going to do that for Leah's teachers next time she goes up a class. Trouble is my sons birthday is always the last week of term, I need to learn to be organised don't i.

AMorning guys!

Thanks bashini, going to do this when I torte the cake tonight. It won't make the cake heavy will it?

Nanny I forgot to mention, my mam went to the ystrad shop today and said they were amazing. She didn't have a clue what half the stuff on my list was but she gave it to the man and he whiz zed round and got everything for her! So I will be using these in a more regular basis. Especially when I'm visiting her in the weekends as they're open in a Sunday!

AMorning all,

Siany those apples are fabulous , did you spray on the edible glaze with the spray gun, or use a brush? They look fab.

I bought cake lace yesterday so this weekend I will be looking forward to figuring it out!

Quick question, do people have chocolate biscuit cake as a layer for their wedding cake. I am thinking of doing it as a bottom layer as it's sturdy and would you still need to dowel it? I

This is also on freeview I think it's the create and craft channel?

I saw it back in June when it was on and ended up buying the £90 ophelia mat and sequins! Lol. She got a bit flustered when I watched her but the man presenting did my head in. He was basically saying that you don't need a designer to do your cake when you can do it yourself. I was like YEEAAAAHHHH it's the designers buying your sh!t mate, do one! Haha

Morning all, its so hot already I can't stand it.

Siany wow fab apples love them, I would also like to know if you airbrushed the glaze or brushed it on.

Kuuushi I have a few of the blossom sugar art cutters and veiners and I love them, so easy to use. They demonstrate them on create and craft sometimes that's where I got mine from on a buy one get one free offer. Sometimes you can get them cheaper in tkmax but it depends what they have in at the time.

Nanny and Marvel good luck in the inspiration challenge.
