Please see the following links and tell me which you like better:

This is a cake for my mother in laws wedding. I am showing her designs on 3-6-09 ....

do you like the one with the two interlocking cakes on the top ?

or on the bottom?

Or do you have a completely different Idea that would be better?

Thank you for all your help!

Nikki

I personally prefer the first one. I think the wording going from the bottom up, is a little confusing. I really like the first sketch quite a bit. Good luck!

I like sketch two .....IMHO it reads easier from the bottom down.

I like the first. I think it looks weird reading from the bottom up.

I like the one with the two interlocking cakes on top better. The one with the cakes on the bottom seems to look like it wont turn out right, but who am I to say? Just my opinion.

I agree the wording works better reading from the top down, I also think the smaller cakes interlinking on the top looks better. Great concept and your sketches are beautiful - I wish mine looked that good!

Put this in gallery comments before I realized you had a thread. I like sketch 2 better. The two rounds on the top remind me of interlocked wedding bands.

Definitely the cake with the interlocking cakes on top. The other cake doesn't look balanced. Good luck!

I like the first one best with the interlocking rings on the top. I think it reads more naturally from top to bottom-has more of a flow.

Thank you so much for your replies! I think it is unanimous! I am deleating the sketch from my photos of the "confusing" cake (I two thought that it didn't look right)

Thank you all!

First of all, I TOTALLY LOVE the idea. I honestly like the 2nd link where there were two interlocking cakes on the bottom but then again, I'd rather prefer reading it from top to bottom. So I quess I would pick the first link you posted.

I think it would be better off to have three cakes on the bottom but then that would totally mean "and three became one" , which would mean that there are three people getting married or someone is having an affair with someone (which I'm sure is totally not true). So in short it would totally change the concept. Since only two persons are getting married and no one is cheating, then I conclude that the best idea is to have a two interlocking cakes and not three. So disregard my suggestion on having tree cakes on the bottom.
