I have a cake order for this weekend, either saturday or sunday. I am wondering if it is ok to bake the cake tonight, thursday, and have it still be good for sunday? Would I have to ice it tonight as well, or could I ice it in the morning? Any help is appreicated!

Sure go right ahead. Just be sure to wrap it well in a plastic (ziploc) bag until you are ready to crumb coat it. You can ice it tonight or in the a.m. which ever you want. It will be fine left on the counter until Sundayicon_smile.gif

thank you kakeladi. I found out she needs it for saturday so I will bake it today, the cake will have fondant decorations on it, just flat pieces, nothing 3D or intricate. Do you think they will be ok if I store it in the fridge until she is ready for pick up?
