I have a great white wedding cake recipie, but don't know what to use to make chocolate marble. I have read that I can use Hershey's syrup...does anyone have any other suggestions? Would that make it too thin?

Rather than syrup I prefer to mix about 1/4 to 1/3 C UNsweetened cocoa powder mixed w/hot water to a thick mud which I then mix into about 1 cup of white batter.
