I tried to use the sports ball pan to make a pokemon ball and really had a difficult time with it. Any suggestions? It was awkward to ice and seemed to not be really round. I thought I had them filled evenly, guess I was wrong!

The round ball pan is difficult to get smooth. I like to use fondant on it, that seems to help. I also do not fill it as it makes it more unstable. I just use a thin layer of buttercream.

Hi there is a way to smooth the ball cake round you have to use a thin flexable piece of plastic like the kind you get from a Boston cream cake plastic then you cut to the length hold on each of the ends and pull toward your self untill you get a smooth round effect....and for the filling you can cut a little cake out of the bottom cake fill and put some of the cake back on top with the frosting so it don't leak out... Hope this helps. icon_lol.gif
