I have been asked to make a purple cake with pearls and peace signs. I have kind of got some ideas in my head, but am still at a loss.

How can I put both of these on a cake and make it make sense?

Perhaps I should make the peace signs out of pearls?

Suggestions...please help. icon_smile.gif

Why not a pearl neckless with a peace sign pendent added?
Use fondant beads for the border(s).
How dark is the purple? I stay as light as I can.

Ahh...that is a good idea with the necklace...I hadn't thought of that.

No preference on the purple, so I was thinking a pastel, as well. I would like to keep it as elegant as possible with a soft purple and pearls...but the peace signs throw me for a loop.

Thanks for the help.

Just a tip- i have been reading a lot lately about purple fading- specifically lavender fading to grey. So you may want to look into that. If you figure out how to keep it purple, please tell me!! icon_smile.gif

Yikes...that is not good. I will let you know how it turns out. Not looking forward to the results.

I'm gonna make the fondant tonight (will be out of town for two days), decorate on Sunday night, and deliver Monday.

Hopefully, I can return with me purple success stories!

One thing i have heard is keep it out of sunlight of any kind. So wrap it in plastic, then foil.

good luck!!
