Hi,
I am a newbie at cake decorating and this is my first time making a tiered cake. I was wondering how many boxed mixes will go in a 12" and 10" round pans! The pans are Wilton - 2" deep.

Thanks in advance! icon_smile.gif

bubusmon for your 10in pan you will need 5 1/2 cups per pan and 12in 7 1/2 cups per pan.
good luck sammie

Each 10x2 pan uses one cake mix.
Each 12x2 pan uses one & 1/2 cake mixes.

One way to know if you have enough batter in your pan instead of measuring out cups (OHHH so messy) is to fill the pan 2/3rds full.....or measure w/a ruler 1 1/2" deep.
