Do These Combos Sound Ok?

I'm donating some cakes for an auction & wondered if these combos sound ok?

Chocolate Cake
Caramel Filling
Vanilla or Brown Sugar SMBC
Chocolate Wrap (if I get a chance to practice)
Chocolate Covered Strawberries


Vanilla or Cinnamon Cake (haven't decided)
Apple Filling
Brown Sugar SMBC
Candied Pecans


If you have any other suggestions, I'm open. Also, if you work a lot w/ SMBC does it hold fillings in really well? I've only filled w/ it, not more "runny" fillings.

Butter Pecan cake w/apple fill & the others you mentioned.

Lemon cake w/raspberry fill.
WASC cake w/any! fillingicon_smile.gif

Yum... sounds good to me... I always like the lemon and white cake... simple and good!

those sound like good combos...

For fall
Pumpkin spice with cream cheese filling is yummy, too.

or even pumpkin spice with butter pecan filling

coconut cake with pineapple orange filling

I'm not sure about the SMBC ....I hope someone answers that one....

Well, I changed my mind, imagine that! I know I'm going w/

Chocolate Cake
Caramel Filling
Brown Sugar SMBC
Topped w/ Candied Pecans
So, kinda like a turtle cake

Not decided on the white---I'm experimenting w/ recipes & I'm ultra disappointed. Very blah, so I may go w/ a butter cake

But think I'm going to do it w/ Strawberry filling, chocolate ganache & topped w/ chocolate truffles if they turn out, it not then strawberries.

For a thank you to my neighbor for mowing my yard while dh was gone for 2 weeks I think I'm going to do a cinnamon cake, apple filling & maple smbc

Bad thing is I dont get to taste, just hoping to get feedback from whomever gets them. I'll definitely be trying some pumpkin spice here before too long, but that'll be for my eating icon_wink.gif

I posted pics in my photos if you guys want to take a look. Got an email from the lady who asked if I would donate & the 3 cakes (the 3rd was just a good 'ole southern type apple cake) I donated brought almost $250. So, I was pleased they brought more than $20.
