I don't know about the cake mix version. I use the Betty Crocker cookbook version. However, this one looks pretty good:

I got these from Dot at Gail's recipe swap, 9 years ago. It makes a very good cookie.
Dot's Swedish Raspberry Caves
Cream:
1 lb. unsalted butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 egg yolk
Add:
4 c. all-purpose flour
Knead: butter and flour mixture until smooth.
Form: dough into small balls. Roll the balls in chopped pecans and put in cookie sheet.
Press each ball with your thumb to make a small well.
Bake:at 200 - 225 degrees Fahrenheit for two hours or until cookies are brown. Do not turn off the oven.
Take the cookies out and fill the wells with heated raspberry jam.
Return to oven, turn oven off and let cookies cool inside.
