Remove Excess Cornstrarch From Fondant?

Paint the marks with vodka. The alcohol will evaporate, leaving no taste, and the marks will disappear.
You can also use another piece of fondant like an eraser on the cornstarch. For a large area or a lot of marks, the vodka will work better.
Take some shortening and rub it between your hands. Smooth it onto the entire cake. It will look shiney at first, but will absorb into the fondant in a couple of hours leaving a lovely finish.
HTH,
Pat
just laying a warm damp cloth over the affected areas works too. Don't leave the cloth on for too long or it will soften the fondant.
