Ok, I'm pretty new to the whole cake thing, I took some classes last year and really enjoy coming up with new ideas and different ways to decorate. I just make cakes for friends and family and friends of theirs right now and would like to eventually get outside of my "circle", but I don't want to charge too much. How do I price my cakes so that others don't think that I'm crazy? Any ideas?

Your picture isn't showing up. You should research what the going rate for cakes is in your area.

Welcome to Cake Central. Unfortunately, it is not legal to sell home baked goods in Michigan. You have to prepare the goods in a commercial kitchen in order to sell them legally.

that said, you need to see what the market is for cakes in your area.
