Question About Filling....

I'm making a whipped cream icing cake with banana creme filling..... What is the best way to dam the cake before filling? I have never used this combo before so any help is appericiated!!!

The whipped cream icing may not be strong enough to hold in a lot of filling. If you use a good dam, if it squishes (love that word) out, you will be able to smooth it into your outside icing or crumb coat.
