I charge per serving no matter what the cake size or shape or occasion.
I charge for a total of 8 cubic inches of cake which comes out to a 1x2x4 size serving for two layer cakes or a 2x2x2 serving for single layer cakes. Same amount of cake, just cut differently.
You need to determine what size of serving you want to use and then make sure you are priced accurately for that size serving. Some people use bigger serving sizes than I do, but to each there own, you have to figure what works best for you.
