I am doing a wedding cake and will be driving 2hrs to deliver. They love buttercream but I am unsure what to use. I have a great all Crisco recipe but I think they had the true buttercream in mind. Any advice????
there's just so many different buttercream recipes to choose from...here and on the web. you can always do all shortening, but add butter flavoring to it.
Sugarshacks recipe is great. No dairy so it would be fine in a car for two hours. You could use the butter flavoring or any other flavoring to give it a more "traditional" buttercream flavor. You can also experiment with the creamer flavors. When I am doing an almond flavored cake I use the amarhetto flavored creamer. There are so many different flavors out there - fun to play around with.
