Okay, my next dilema. I bake from scratch since I live in germany where it is difficult to get american cake mixes. Awhile back I made up some homemade mixes. My silver cake recipe says to cream the shortening and sugar, I when Imade up the mix threw the sugar in with the flour. My question: is the mix still usable, or should I start over.

I have accidentally while half asleep done this....not creamed the butter and sugar.....it should still turn out okay. I know sometimes the texture can be a little off that way.

Try maybe beating the sugar really well and slowly adding the "mix" to it. Couldn't be much different than the butter recipe cake mixes that we use here!! Give it a go!!
