pink roses are fondant "ribbon type" roses, the dark rose is dark chocolate, these are made one petal at a time, not wrapped around
Ok, raw vegan cupcakes anyone??? ![]()
Man, just had lunch,........now I needs a nap!
Beranbaum's White Chocolate Whisper Cake
Ok, Diane, I just took this cake out of the oven
I used Callebaut white chocolate and scaled everything exactly as directed in the book... It baked beautifully, and smells wonderful.. I will let you know how it tastes when it cools (provided I can wait till then
)
You will love it. Very tender. Drooling just thinking about it!
Callebaut is my weapon of choice also! (eyes counter with giant block of chocolate.......
)
Did you make it into cupcakes also?
ack, I a SUPPOSED to be studying right now.......BAD tigger!

I actually needed a layer cake, so I baked it in 2 - 8" rounds.. If I like the results, I will be making cupcakes with it later...... dang it smells so good...... ![]()
Since you were chatting about dinner, etc. I thought I would share these...they were really fun to make and really easy, too. The blueberry pie ones were lemon and tasted incredible with the blueberry preserves on top. The pasta ones were yucky...too dry. I am having a hard time finding a good scratch white/yellow recipe...but the strawberry preserves and chocolates make them edible! ![]()
Oh, good grief! I seriously think I just gained 20 lbs. just LOOKING at these goodies!!!
Just to toss this in here....I saw the April Fools show on Martha Stewart where they did the TV Dinners out of cupcakes to those that wondered it.
Tiggerbounce, DELICIOUS looking goodies!!
I too don't eat a lot of the stuff I bake. At work when I bring stuff in they laugh cuz I never have a piece of it. I just like to bake, make, & decorate it. Hey, isn't that a show already???? ha,ha.
Penny727.. I love your blueberry pie cupcakes ! very cute ! Ive had to make so many spaghetti and meatball cakes , I dont even want to make them out of cupcakes to !Unless someone wants to pay !lol! they are cute in Cupcakes to though ! I very seldom eat my creations either ,Its not like you can take a bite out of someones cakes before they pick it up ! I love this thread and all the ideas and recipes ! So much to try , already way behind !
How do you make the spaghetti and meatball cake??? My youngest son LOVES spaghetti and meatballs, that would be awesome for his birthday party. Each could have their own spaghetti and meatball cupcake.
How cute!
Yeah,.......I am going to need to set my laptop on the treadmill before signing in here anymore!!! ![]()

A place the size of WallyWorld to gather and have an "open air" bakery market. How fun would that be? Shall we open it together in say...hawaii??? Anyone, anyone????
Cupcakes are a great grab and go dessert. Who can argue that? hee!
OK I dont remember who asked for it but...
Chocolate Marshmallow Frosting.
* 2 cups confectioners' sugar
* 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
* 6 large marshmallows
* 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
* 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon milk
* 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
To prepare:
1. Sift the sugar and cocoa powder together into a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
2. Place the marshmallows, butter, and milk in a medium-size heavy saucepan over low heat. Stir until the marshmallows are melted, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat. Pour the confectioners' sugar and cocoa mixture over the marshmallow mixture. Add the vanilla and stir until the frosting is smooth and satiny.
3. Use at once to frost the top of the cake of your choice.

melvira,
how you gonna do all them cupcake orders all pregant? We may need to have a cupcake party and come help you out next month......... ![]()
hey, know what I just thought of? I was told there is a lady selling her stuff and has like 200 or 300 pans or something outrageous like that. Has been doing cakes for like 30years.
Anyhoo, she wanted me to buy the whole works but I do not do copyrighted items as well as I just want to get out of the business that way.
Last I heard she was going to have a garage sale. Anyone interested in my finding more info and seeing if I can pick anything up for you? Not sure if she still has anythign or not, but worth a try maybe.
Go away for a couple of days....y'all were on a roll!
What a wealth of new info!
I can attest to RLB's White Chocolate Cake - one of my all-time favs!
Those blueberry pie cupcakes are adorable!
Melvira, props to you for taking the double dog dare! ![]()

Ok!!!! I got behind on this thread and see all these references to a terrific chocolate cake and a white chocolate cake. I am too lazy to go back through all this. Is there a link that one of you can post for the recipes. Thanks
Lily
Well we're on page 26 now and I confess, I have not read the entire thread by a longshot! Has anyone discussed how to make their own cupcake dummies? If so I won't bore you with the details. If not, it's a great way to practice cupcake techniques without all the extra baking. And the dummies are easy to make too! ![]()
