What Would You Charge For This 8" Square Cake??

I charge $38 for my basic 8" 2-layer square cakes covered in BC. More if they want a special decoration. Not sure where you live so this price may be way over/under.
I charge $25.00 for a 8" square and an additional $10.00 to cover in fondant and $0.25 per serv. for fondant accents...so this cake would be a grand total of $42.50!
Is that cake 4" tall? It looks so tall but it might be the perspective of the pic...
Anyhow... for an 8" square I would charge $35 for a BC covered cake...a touch more for fondant. With that beautiful cross on there as well I'd probably do $40-45.
thanks.
It is all fondant and is 3.5" high. I charged $50 for it here in Ontario Canada. Now I am worried I overcharged
I think your price was more than fair. That cake serves 32 - 1" x 2" x 3 1/2" servings so you're customer got a fondant covered cake for $1.56 per serving. Even if you use a larger serving like 1 1/2" x 2" it still serves around 20 and would be $2.50 a serving.
Very pretty work and you did a fine job pricing it. Could have even been a little more really.
I agree, double-stacked 8" with nice tall 4.5" sides like it looks in the picture, I would say this was a $60 cake. Especially fondant with fondant decor. Great cake design too!
