I see all these wonderful cupcakes on CC and I am wondering how do you get the frosting to look like it is just one cake and not a bunch of cupcakes? I am assuming that you just put a lot of frosting on.

That's it. Push the cupcakes close together, and use the icing tip to apply generous frosting to the top of the whole surface. smooth and decorate.

make sure you have little to no gaps between the cupcakes otherwise the icing will fall through.
