It's been uncharacteristically cool so I made some granola! Hope it's nice there in your neck a' the woods!
Click, Sunday is done.
For all those in Fay's path -- take care. We're keeping a good thought!
Click.
Our air-conditioner went out Sunday night -- we didn't realize until late. They'll be here Thursday to fix it.
We have electricity and we have fans. We're very grateful for that! ![]()
Clicked for Tuesday and now I'm turning everything OFF!!
Oh my goodness, four days without ac is way too long! Where are you HD? Times like that I'm glad that I live in an apartment and it is somebody else's responsibility.
Can you visit with somebody with ac, and go to movies to pass some of the hottest times? I hope you will be okay, too much heat can make you sick.
Tuesday clicks are finished here in Texas (hot, dry and air pollution to go with it here.)
Ya'll are sweet. It's not too bad. We have the windows open while it's cool, with the fans going. Our backyard has lots of trees so the back is really shaded. I grew up in a tiny old house without AC -- not that long ago, it was invented we just didn't have it.
DH is gonna pick up a little window unit after work tonight. But how wonked are my priorities? I'm getting on the computer like a crazy person checking CC, my cooking blogs and sports scores before it gets too hot!!! One quick cup of coffee and then it's ice water and lemonade all day!
Wednesday clicking is done.
I'm still trying to figure out how appliances like AC can always manage to stop working late in the evening, especially on Saturday and Sunday when nobody is available to fix them!
Honeydukes, glad to hear you have shade and breezes, that does make a big difference. It is almost Thursday, hang in there!
Hope the remains of Fay will continue to be good to ya'll, and not too much rain!
Clicks are in for Wednesday.
I think it's good 'ol Murphy. Two years ago storms took out power for over a week. We have electricity -- so I'm not complainin'! It could always be worse! Knock, knock, knock.
