Welcome to Cake Central. to store it more than just overnight, it should be well wrapped and frozen. Thaw it in the wrapper in the fridge.

Cakes can be baked up to 3 months inadvanced. Onced removed from the oven, cool about 10 minutes in pan; then turn out onto a cooling rack for another 10 (approx.). Now wrap in plastic wrap; then in freezer paper. If you have a plastic container that it will fit in put it in there once wrapped, but that's not totally necessary.

Welcome to CC!

My method; Bake cakes up to 5 days in advance. Let your cakes cool for about 15 minutes then wrap well in plastic wrap and freeze. I do this all of the time because it makes for a more moist cake. Remove cakes from freezer and let thaw at room temperature while still wrapped in plastic. Torte fill and decorate the same day as you thaw the cakes. icon_smile.gif
