That is what I use whenever I use a box for a chocolate cake. Everyone has loved it. It's the most chocolaty of the box mixes that i've tried unless you want one that has actual bits of chocolate in it.

I use it all the time! It's my top-selling chocolate cake! I'm a DH girl all the way!

The WASC cake recipe actually has many flavor variations:

You can use any flavor cake mix, change the extracts, use yogurt, jello, white chocolate, add liquor or liqueurs and raspberries or strawberries and more.

I used dark chocolate fudge with the WASC recipe and I was surpised at how delicious it came out. It was a great alternative to my scratch chocolate cake that's just too delicate for some applicatons. I don't really like chocolate cake very much unless its really rich and dark, and this totally lived up to that.

I use buttermilk, a box of chocolate fudge pudding and an extra egg, the normal amount of oil- plus a tsp of vanilla. Through in a bag of mini chocolate chips and you'll get rave reviews!

DH Chocolate Fudge is the only chocolate cake my family will eat...lol.

Below is the recipe I use. I do change it up on occasions, but for the most part I use as listed below. I usually have to make while no one is home or they will eat it before I can ice it. icon_smile.gif

1 bx DH Fudge Chocolate
1/2 box chocolate fudge instant pudding
1 cup flour
3 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1 stick nonsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
2 cups liquid (I use 1 cup half-n-half and 1 cup of strong black coffee)

1. Cream butter, oil, and sugar.
2. Add eggs, one at a time, until well blended.
3. Add cake mix, flour, pudding, and baking powder. (I sifted these together)
4. Blend on low while drizzling liquid in a constant stream.
5. Mix until smooth.

I bake my cakes at a temperature of 325 degrees. It does take a little longer since this cake is so dense.
