Are there any books available for the topsyturvy cakes that everyone wants? I am new to using fondant. What is the best way to make the fondant stiff so it will hold an upright position.

Thank you for any help that you can provide me.

Welcome to Cake Central. Check out the tutorial on these cakes in the articles section.

As for the fondant, it is like a playdoh texture. You roll it out like a pie crust. If you've never used fondant before, buy the Wilton to play with. It tastes nasty but it's at least good to play with.

I like to use the Alternate MMF that's on here. It's really good. Some hints...

Here's a real basic site on fondant:

Good luck.
