Ok I was just at the grocery store and they have Kraft choc. marshmallows. I only found the big ones, not the miniature ones. But I have used the big ones in MMF before with no problem.

I opened the bag as soon as I got to the car icon_lol.gif They have a choc. flavor that is not really strong, and are a good deep brown on the inside to begin with.

Choc. MMF here I come. Has anyone else tried this??

I think it could be a great solution to get a deep brown MMF with a little gel color added.

OK it's official I am a complete NERD! I could not stand it..

I cut the large marshmallows in 1/4 and made the mini MMF recipe exactly as it is.

1 cup mini marshmallows
1 tbs water
1 1/2- 1 3/4 cups of powdered sugar

One big difference I noticed is when you eat one of the marshmallows there is more air in it. They melted ALOT faster and turned to liquid.

My powdered sugar worked into it well and it has a really good flavor. I took the pic on wax paper setting on a white paper so you could get a good idea of the dark coco color.

I made fondant out of the strawberry and the chocolate! They worked great! I found mine at Walmart (maybe Target too). I went to get more strawberry today and they were out! icon_cry.gif I will have to check another Walmart! They both taste good too! I think the chocolate ones have more flavor than the strawberry ones, but that is just me!
Get some and have fun!

i can't wait to try them! my daughter took no time to find the chocolate ones at target yesterday (she calls them smarshmallows). i guess it didn't occur to me to make the fondant at the time. it's off to wal mart in the morning!
