For those who are avid coffee creamer fans, I'm just getting into using them and every combo I've tried is DELICIOUS!!! I'm no longer skeptical... Anyway, what's your favorite cake w/ creamer combo and or icing with creamer combo? So far, I love the hazelnut creamer in chocolate buttercream icing... I might have eaten several spoonfuls right out of the mixer icon_redface.gif !! Not sure what my favorite cake mix combo is yet... maybe chocolate with the mint mocha creamer.

Okay, I can't BELIEVE this! I did the same thing as an experiment and it was a HUGE hit! I used Pumpkin Pie Spice Creamer (liq) brown sugar and powdered sugar and pumpkin pie spice to make a glaze for a Pumpkin Cake. One of my friends told me it was the ABSOLUTE BEST Pumpkin Cake she had ever had in her life! LOLL I told her that the cake was "a cheater"! LOLL I used spice cake mix and did the applesauce cake recipe on the side and substituted a can of pumpkin.

The hazelnut and chocolate buttercream sounds AWESOME! Mind if I "steal" that idea for my groom's cake this weekend?

I used the hazelnut in some milk chocolate icing a couple of weeks ago. I replaced my liquid with the liquid creamer. It was awesome!

You can also use the powdered creamers in with your cake mixes.

Do not use the powdered creamers in your icing - it will get gritty.

Wow...great idea's! Thanks for the tips!
I remember making a coffee cake, and just adding really strong instant coffee to my buttercream...and it was delicious. You could even just throw in a couple of teaspoon's of instant coffee if you don't mind a bit of a crunch. Some people love it. ~Cheryl

I sometimes replace the liquid that the recipe calls for for the creamer. Sometimes I don't, I guess it really depends on the recipe, if you think it might go together...

Now for flavors, I do the vanilla or caramel creamer (liquid) for all my white, vanilla, butter, etc. cakes and regular buttercrem. I used the cinammon spice (I think thats the name, not sure) for a carrot cake. And always use the hazelnut for my chocolate cakes and frostings, although the other day I did a chocolate cake with caramel filling and used the caramel creamer for the buttercream, OMG!!! To die for!! icon_wink.gif I truly believe that the creamer makes my frosting taste better! thumbs_up.gif

yep! or you can add it to your BC as the liquid. The possabilities are endless. My favorite is yellow mix with french vanilla pudding and vanilla caramel toffee coffee creamer. And the same coffee creamer in the BC. YUMMMMMMMMO! thumbs_up.gif
