Hello everyone I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. I have seen some cakes that look like baskets of apples and I would really like to try to make one. I have emailed one person for instructions but got no response. Does anyone know how to make one of these cakes. I want to make it for my church's youth group fundraising auction. Thank you

I would suggest PMing the owner of the cake to help you out. I thought i may be able to give you some tips because i did a baby in a bathtub, and thought that maybe the bathtub would be similar to the apple basket, but after looking at the galleries and seeing the awesome work on there, i would say, pm the owner. I have no idea how they did the apples. If i was doing it, i would make the apples with fondant or gumpaste, and the basket with strips of marbelised fondant.

I have tried to pm and email one of the cakes and pm another but still no reply.

I would love to see an image but wonderful apples can be made very easilly with marzipan/ they take colour beautifully/ goodluck

I made a bushel of crabs cake. The same idea could be used if you're looking for a way to make the basket but I can't help you with the apples. If you need help with the basket PM me and i'll help you out.
