Is anyone an ICES member?

It's something I was considering. If it would help with creative juices and just to be in another circle with other cake lovers.

What's everyone's opinion??

I have been an ICES member for two years. I love their Monthly News Letter. The conventions are wonderful. Give it a try.

I just joined so I haven't reaped a whole lot of benefits yet but I do think professional organizations are a good idea and I am anticipating good things for being a member.

You will love ICES. Please check it out ASAP so you won't feel like you should've done it sooner!

I don't know where you live but I am excited that their annual convention will be here in Florida next year. We also have yearly mini-classes and monthly newsletters packed with info and photos. Do consider joining. I'm glad I did!

I'm an ICES member & I love it! I went to my first convention this year in Omaha, NE!! I had a blast with the girls I met on CC & new friends I met while there!! You'll learn a lot of neat tips & tricks. You'll also make friends for a lifetime! I'm making every Annual Convention my "Mom's Week Out" (away from work, family & friends, well not away from cake friends LOL) Hopefully I'll get to go every year! Join & you won't be disappointed! icon_smile.gif I had a blast!

Thanks all for your response.

I think it will be something I am going to do as well as join my local "Cake Club". I'm glad to hear that people have found it useful.

ICES is definitely worth joining because it's very much a member run organization. You also aren't limited to only going to your state's events you can go to other state's events as well.

I got to go to the convention just for the day this year and have been to the Days of Sharing for both Wisconsin and Minnesota and they've always been awesome. Even with only going to the convention for a day I can only imagine how much fun it was to attend the full convention. The other thing you'll also notice at things like the convention is that you'll be there just as another attendee with people like Kerry Vincent, Colette Peters, Norm Davis, Nick Lodge, etc. and discover they really are HUMANS!!! (why you'll hear some of us defending people that we've actually had the opportunity to meet and have a real conversation with)..

It's also fun in that people at the events are VERY much into sharing ideas and just aren't afraid of helping another person in the business out. thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

Give it a month or so to start getting the newsletter then do some checking into who your state ICES rep is and they can let you know when their next DOS is and also if you're near the border of another state, contact that rep too because the DOS are always a good time regardless of where your skill level is at because there's always something new.
