Now that it is officially November, I am thinking Christmas.
I am trying to put together a Christmas list for my family. (That way they won't have to guess what to buy me....not usually a good thing icon_smile.gif)

So I am curious what you are asking for this Christmas. As far as baking and decorating goes, so far I am asking for a couple of Silpats and an extra-large muffin pan.

All year long I will think of something that I would like to ask for for Christmas and then when it finally comes time to compose my list, I can't remember what I wanted or needed. Maybe I should keep a running list all year long.

Feel free to include other non-cake related items. For instance I also want a panini maker.

Just having a little fun here! icon_biggrin.gif

I shop alot at Michael's for my cake stuff (not much around here other than Michaels) so my birthday was in September and what I asked for was gift cards to Michaels. I ended up with $170.00 in cash and gift cards. Not Bad. So for Christmas I think that I will do the same. Of course I have a few little things that I want but nothing to put on a christmas list.

I've asked for a Kitchen Aid Pro 600 Stand Mixer LOL FAT CHANCE! Me and my husband were looking at the airbrush sets and he was making notes, mental notes but I could tell he was thinking hard lol. I took a magazine from BryLane Home and marked a few things I'd like and gave it to mom when she requested a list it includes some basic baking pans and some fancy ones and some other stuff I can't remember now icon_sad.gif But she said she'd get it lol. That's when I asked for the KA and she laughed and said if that's what you really want maybe you should think about it at tax time. I was like ok blow me off but I still want this and this and this lol.

I guess my main thing I want for christmas is this house to be empty and clean and ready so we can move in it before christmas lol. And I'd really like a nice BIG tool chest/caddy/kit to hold all my cake decorating stuff since I currently have things in rubber maid bins and boxes and now own two of the Wilton (empty) storage kits/tool boxes which are both full and over flowing lol. Wrong place to do it but if yall have pics or ideas on what hubby could MAKE or buy me for my tips and gels and everything else PM me with info and pics if ya have em icon_biggrin.gif thanks tons and....

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

I told my family that I want gift cards also. I prefer Michael's because they have a better selection of stuff but I will take A.C. Moore also. My two hobbies (passions) are cake decorating (which I'm just learning and lovin it!) and jewelry making. I also want a chocolate fountain. I hope everyone will get their wishes this holiday season. thumbs_up.gif

I love my husband he just takes me to micheals or where ever I want to go and says get what you want. I find if much easier for me to just go with my husband and let each other pick out what we want or else it seems we always get the wrong thing. As for my mom goes she just gives me money. Every one else gets presents she just gives me money. My father in-law his presents are always funny cause he just gets everyone a bottle of perfume "not the cheapest i might add" I guess so we can all smell good for him.

I'm asking for the typical Michael's and AC Moore gift cards. What I really want is money so that I can buy the kopykake projector, airbrush and edible photo printer and paper for myself. My family likes buying gifts over giving money, and nobody has the money for the expensive toys I want, so I guess I better come up with some reasonable gifts.

Yeah you could have them all pitch in and get you a big gift. But I guess it always comes back to "its the thought that counts" even though sometimes we dont always feel like that.

If you are in Hanover, you might consider asking for paid classes at House of Clarendon, in Lancaster. She has fabulous class offerings there.

A treadmill isnt that exspensive. I lost 35 pounds after I had my daughter and I am so proud of myself. But now my family says I need to gain some weight. But I have always wanted a treadmill and I will need one after I have my second kid which I hope will be sooner rather then later. But you could always get your self a present for christmas and say this is for all the hard work I did this year.

I usually get myself a present too! That's the best thing I ever do for myself. LOL~ Good thing about the airbrush system is I can put it on layaway at my friends store. Just haven't decided to do it yet.. that might be my present to myself~ LOL~ Gift card is a great idea!

I want a carpet cleaner! You know one of those home versions either Bissel or Hoover....I have the little spot version but am tired of having to borrow my Mom's when I want to clean the carpet (which is often with a 1 1/2 year old son, a dog and white carpet)!

Hard to believe the holidays are fast approaching. I am hosting my first ever Thanksgiving at my house this year (but my grandma insists on making the turkey....hmmm is that in insult....hahaha)...so I am so excited.

i still cannot believe that a year has passed again and christmas is really here.

interms of gifts...we have stopped exchaging gifts in my family....so i only have my hubby to buy me gifts at christmas. i have given him a list of some books that i want....and a few new spatulas....the ones i have now are begging me to throw them out.

the books i asked for are at www.ecookbooks.com , some nice closeout prices available. also at www.hamiltonbook.com CHEAP CHEAP. hamilton has some baking but no sugarcraft stuff.

my mom bought me a printer for my edible stuff in september so i will count that as my gift. icon_wink.gif

i also wouldnt mind the 200 piece betty crocker decorating set...not so much for the tips but i love the decorating combs they have in it. that is at www.decoratorkit.com

I would love to have the carpet taken out of my kitchen and some linoleum put down so I could try and get my cottage license. My DH has hinted that he may do that for me when his company is on shut down for the holidays. OOHH, I hope he does! That would be the best ever!

I also hope for good health for my family, kids that mind (fat chance), and the war to end overseas, so that all our servicemen can be home for the holidays and their families.

I have a very organized dh so for Christmas I have asked him to go through my cabinets and anything he thinks is old or not in use (general cooking and baking, not my "cake stuff") to get rid of it and replace it with new. I have lots of old yucky spatulas, some older measuring cups, some other stuff I rarely use... anyway told him to be creative and just get whatever. So it should be fun!

I havent ever heard of carpet in the kitchen either that must be horrible. I have a little hand carpet cleaner but that doesnt clean anything. Piece of crap more like it. I want lots of cooking stuff last year I got tons of scrapbooking stuff. And as for the war goes they are slowely sending people home they just need to hurry up and send everyone home. but we all now how that goes.

I just got rid of the carpet in my kitchen! Couldnt believe that the previous owners put carpet in the kitchen....course they also picked the white carpet through-out the rest of the house that I am always cleaning too! I put down laminate flooring after pulling up the carpet....now I know I can get it clean!

The carpet was in the kitchen when we bought the house. It is that wonderful 1970's brown and gold crap. We had other things in the house we wanted to do first, so the carpet has remained. Hopefully, Santa (my DH) will get it done for me. icon_lol.gif
